In 1998 Mattel continued the Fashion Avenue line names on packaging. In 1998 the Evening Wear name is on the package instead of Deluxe. The back of the packages for Bridal, Lingerie, Ken, Evening Wear, Party, and Boutique continue to have photographs of Barbie dolls wearing the fashions, similar to 1996 and 1997 but with more of a runway look. The “wood” shelves print on the inside of the package is more ornate. In 1998 all wedding gowns are in the Bridal line. Evening Wear includes a new tuxedo for Ken, his accessories are shoes and a pink plastic gift box with bow. I can’t see if this is a single molded plastic piece or two pieces that come apart. Beautiful, glamorous gowns for Barbie doll featuring realistic details, fabrics and styles. There’s even one tuxedo for Ken doll for even more dress-up play fun! Dolls not included.
