In 1998 Mattel continued the Fashion Avenue line names on packaging. Instead of wood tables, Ken has marble look columns printed on his in package background and instead of flowers his arches have a criss-cross pattern. The back of the packages for Bridal, Lingerie, Ken, Evening Wear, Party, and Boutique continue to have photographs of Barbie dolls wearing the fashions, similar to 1996 and 1997 but with more of a runway look. The Matchin’ Styles line now includes three fashions for Ken and Tommy, with their names on the front inside package background. Evening Wear includes a tuxedo for Ken. Some of his fashion packs have cardboard accessories. Cool clothes for Ken doll featuring realistic details, fabrics and styles. Great looks that allow Ken to interact with Barbie doll and her friends in fun play patterns. Ken looks at his best in these cool new outfits.
