In 1997 Mattel added Fashion Avenue line names to the packages, this line has Deluxe on the packages even though the 1996 and 1997 catalogs and future packages list it as Evening Wear or Eveningwear. This year one wedding gown is included in the Evening Wear line, but it is a repeat from last year. There is also a separate Bridal line. This year’s Evening Wear includes all fashions from 1996, with three new fashions for Barbie.
